Para sa Isang Kaibigan

Here’s to kulambo-exhibitionism, hearing problems and singing as loud as we can on open highways.

Hanggang dito nalang at maraming salamat.

  1. hmmm… intriguing ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. wahahahaha. hindi. nothing intriguing. gay friend ko ito na papuntang canada.

  3. hi jae… remember me? I got in… ๐Ÿ™‚ Professor Daway was one of my interviewers (it turned out that her daughter Sarah was my lecturer in graduate school at the School of Economics). The whole interview revolved around why go to law school when I’m already done with my MA and well on my to become an economist. I was quite pleased with my answers until the other interviewer, who was silent the whole time, popped the last question, “How you would you like to be remembered when you die?”

In the whole interview, I was vigorously discussing all the economic concepts i learned in grad school that I almost sounded like a textbook. That question left me speechless. I was on the verge of doing a “Janina San Miguel” when suddenly your blog crossed my mind and I remembered your crusading efforts, your fight and struggles in ending injustice, and your being self-less in placing the welfare of society above your own interest. That is how I want to be remembered. I got a bit emotional as I answered the question that my voice almost cracked and I could feel tears forming on my eyes. Hehehe….

Thanks for everything… God bless and keep inspiring wanna-be lawyers… ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. hi jet. ๐Ÿ™‚ congratulations!! i remember my law school interview waaaaay back, it was the height of the ruckus over the film “live show” and i told them i was a journalism grad so our discussion revolved around censorship, and i was arguing that censorship is more obscene than pornography. blah blah blah. hehe. come to think of it, i think maam daway was in my panel too. i later on had her as my labor 2 teacher.

that whole line about my “crusading eforts and ending injustice” is a bit undeserved, though. we do what we can, i guess, and we have fun while we’re at it. ๐Ÿ™‚

ingat lagi and enjoy the next four years. i know i did.

    salamat, jae

  5. hmp! (itong comment na ito, pwede na?) hehehehe
